Wendy Rouse Jackson | Board Member

Wendy is the Regional Sales Manager at Southeastern Paper Group where she works on environmentally-friendly packaging solutions for businesses. She volunteers at Riverwood Therapeutic Center and serves on the Jaime Horn Memorial Scholarship Committee.

Valerie Pencook | Board Member

Valerie is a political science graduate of Campbell University and a Senior Account Executive at Ketchum, a global communications agency. There, she brings issues and crisis communications experience across industries including energy, healthcare, finance, retail, and technology.

Mark Fleming | Board Member

Mark Fleming currently serves as President & CEO of Conservatives for Clean Energy, a Raleigh, NC-based organization that works to educate opinion leaders on the benefits of clean energy initiatives. Previously, Mark served as District Director for Congressman Patrick McHenry, overseeing district operations in a seven-county district in Western North Carolina. Mark has an impressive record of leadership in business, government, and political sectors. During his extensive career, he has served as Vice-President of NCFREE and Executive Director of the Wake Forest, NC Chamber of Commerce. He has served on the Board of Regents for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for Organizational Management (Southeast Region), and has served on the Board of Directors for both the Carolinas Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (CACCE), and the Association Executives of North Carolina (AENC).

Matt Smith | Board Member

Matt is a partner with the law firm of Maddrey Ethringer Smith Hollowell & Toney. Matt is a former Government Affairs Chair and past Chair of the Eden Chamber Board of Directors. Matt currently serves on the Authorized Practice & Grievance Committees for the North Carolina Bar Association.

Stew Miller | Board Member

Stew Miller is co-Owner and President of YesSolar Solutions with responsibilities including sales, business development, financial management and most operations. Stew is a licensed NC General Contractor and has renovated several historical buildings in Cary and the surrounding areas.

Prior to starting YesSolar Solutions, Stew and his wife Kathy, created a multi-million dollar private education company called Primrose Schools of Cary, employing over 80 teachers/administrators and graduating thousands of children in the Triangle area. The Millers sold the schools in 2004.

Prior to opening the Primrose Schools, Stew Miller started his business career at NCR Corporation, working for 21 years primarily in sales and product management. He rose from salesperson to District Sales Manager, to Director of Product Management at the Atlanta-based, Engineering & Manufacturing facility, and Regional Sales Director.

Stew has a degree in Economics and Business Administration from Albion College in Albion, Michigan.
