The 5th annual “Clean Energy Champions” luncheon co-hosted by Conservatives for Clean Energy-NC and Chambers for Innovation and Clean Energy was held at the Proximity Hotel in Greensboro. The event hosted an interesting and lively panel discussion with three top legislators from NC & SC about what’s on the horizon for energy policies in the Carolinas. Two NC Chambers were recognized that have seen first-hand the economic development opportunities & resulting benefits of renewable energy projects in their rural, eastern NC communities. Three NC Businesses were recognized for having shown exemplary strides in clean energy practices in their own business model; and two Conservative NC Legislators were recognized for their efforts to engage with other state legislators encouraging them to expand clean energy investments policy and legislation as well as speaking out against legislation that sought to permanently ban future wind energy projects, no questions asked.
