CCE-SC adds Angela McCallum as Communications Director

August 16, 2022

Conservatives for Clean Energy South Carolina (CCE-SC) announced today that Angela McCallum will serve as their new Communications Director. The growth of CCE-SC signifies the strong progress of the conservative clean energy movement in the Palmetto State and the team’s commitment to advocating for good clean energy policy.

CCE-SC is an organization that works to educate South Carolina’s conservative voters about the benefits of clean energy and is comprised of local conservative leaders who believe in a genuine ‘all of the above’ approach to South Carolina’s energy policy. The organization is committed to advancing more clean and renewable energy alternatives throughout the Palmetto State to spur new competition and choice in the energy market.

Angela McCallum currently works as the Director of Campaigns at First Tuesday Strategies (FTS), a political consulting and public affairs firm. A native of Greenwood, S.C., she graduated from Clemson University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. McCallum joined FTS in 2021 following stints at the White House and National Republican Senatorial Committee.

“Angela is a rising star among South Carolina conservatives,” said CCE-SC State Director Matt Orr. “We are excited to have her join our team to help spread our message and support our mission of championing conservative, market-based clean energy solutions.”

State Advisor Luke Byars added, “Angela has been working with us on a clean energy agenda for months and she has already hit the ground running. She will be a strong advocate for more competition and choice in the South Carolina energy market.”

Angela McCallum said, “I’m proud to work with a team of results-driven conservative leaders who are advancing the clean energy sector of the Palmetto State economy. South Carolinians deserve a competitive energy market that results in cheaper, cleaner, and safer energy, and I look forward to helping CCE-SC educate and advocate for that.”
