Conservatives for Clean Energy Virginia (CCE-VA) celebrate the recent announcement by the Youngkin Administration of the creation of the Virginia Department of Energy Innovation Bank (VCEIB). This initiative, part of Virginia Energy, aims to advance clean energy innovation and infrastructure development, aligning with Governor Youngkin’s “All-American, All-of-the-Above Energy Plan.”
Hon. Glenn Davis, the Director of Virginia Energy, highlighted the significance of the bank, stating: “The Virginia Clean Energy Innovation Bank embodies our commitment to a diversified energy portfolio. By supporting projects at various stages of commercialization, we’re not just backing established technologies -we’re nurturing the innovations that will shape Virginia’s energy landscape for decades to come. This approach ensures we’re building a resilient energy sector that can adapt to future challenges and opportunities”
Thomas Turner, CCE-VA Director states “As we come to the end of National Clean Energy Week 2024 (September 23-27), This announcement is a major win for our Commonwealth to have more access to a more affordable, reliable and increasing clean energy. “CCE-VA commends Governor Youngkin, Secretary Merrick, and Director Davis for their leadership in ensuring Virginia Energy’s reliability and independence”
