CCE-SC ADDS NEW STATE LEADERSHIP

Nick Murray to Serve as State Director

Columbia, S.C. – Today, Conservatives for Clean Energy – South Carolina (“CCE-SC”) congratulated current state director, Matt Orr, on his new position as U.S. House Representative-elect Russell Fry’s (SC-7) chief of staff in his Washington D.C. office. As a result, CCE-SC has named South Carolina native Nick Murray as incoming state director. Veteran strategist Luke Byars will remain as the organization’s state advisor and Angela McCallum will continue in her role as CCE-SC communications director.

“I am so excited for both Matt Orr and U.S. Representative-elect Russell Fry,” said CCE-SC State Advisor Luke Byars. “Matt has been a tremendous asset to CCE-SC and the entire clean energy movement in this state. His work with all of us here at First Tuesday Strategies (FTS) has been phenomenal. I know Matt will continue to accomplish great things in D.C. for Congressman-elect Russell Fry.”

Nick Murray is a lifelong Palmetto State native with a broad network of professional and political relationships across the state and has in-depth experience running successful statewide public affairs campaigns. In addition to his new role with Conservatives for Clean Energy – South Carolina, Murray currently works with the industry-leading South Carolina-based consulting firm First Tuesday Strategies, to provide political, public affairs, and public relations consulting services. He is based in Charleston, South Carolina.

Luke Byars added, “Nick is the leader we need to accelerate our organization’s forward momentum and help us continue to advocate for ‘all of the above’ energy policies here in South Carolina.”

CCE President & CEO Mark Fleming added, “South Carolina has been on the cutting edge of clean energy policy, not only here in the Southeast, but also nationally. With Nick’s help, our team in the Palmetto State will continue to help us promote good policy and be a great resource for all of the elected officials there.”
