Conservatives for Clean Energy-VA Attends 7th Annual CEN/CRES Fly- In

June 8-9, 2026, Washington, DC

Conservatives for Clean Energy-VA recently participated in the 7th annual Congressional Energy Fly-In in Washington, D.C., alongside our colleagues from the Conservative Energy Network (CEN) and Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES). Our team engaged with Representatives Rob Wittman (R-VA 01) and Jen Kiggans (R-VA 02), and we also met with the staff of Representatives Morgan Griffith (R-VA 09) and John McGuire (R-VA 05).

Rep. Jen Kiggans came off the floor to meet with CCE-VA Director Thomas Turner

During our discussions, we focused on important topics such as permitting reform, the SPEED Act, and critical minerals—issues on which the Virginia delegation has been actively advocating. Additionally, we explored the potential benefits of Small Modular Reactors and had brief conversations about data centers. CCE-VA State Director Thomas Turner expressed gratitude to Representatives Wittman and Kiggans for their strong support of the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Project.

Turner highlighted that the Commonwealth is fortunate to have strong conservative leaders who recognize that achieving energy dominance requires a comprehensive approach. He emphasized that this is not merely a matter of economic security but also a vital part of our national security.

We look forward to collaborating with our conservative leaders as we strive for robust policies that ensure energy reliability.
